The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) wishes to categorically state that, contrary to reports circulating especially on social media, the NFF has never asked, and is not asking, for FIFA President Mr. Gianni Infantino to step down from his position.
In an official notice issued today, the NFF described such claims as “outright falsehood” and urged the public to disregard them completely.
The Federation reaffirms its commitment to the unity and development of global football under the leadership of FIFA and continues to focus on advancing Nigerian football at all levels.
The NFF remains dedicated to constructive engagement with FIFA and all stakeholders in the best interest of the game.
