Residents of the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area in Kaduna State have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Senator Shehu Sani for his compassionate intervention in settling the medical bills of victims affected by recent bandit attacks in the region.

In a statement issued by community leaders on Monday, the gesture was described as “a beacon of hope in a time of despair,” following a series of violent assaults that left several residents injured and traumatized. Senator Sani, known for his vocal stance against insecurity and advocacy for human rights, personally facilitated the payment of hospital expenses for over two dozen victims receiving treatment in Kaduna and Zaria.

“We are deeply thankful to Senator Sani for standing with us during this painful period,” said Mallam Ibrahim Musa, a community elder. “His support has not only eased the financial burden on affected families but also reminded us that empathy and leadership still exist in our society.”

The senator, in a brief remark, reiterated his commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and called on both federal and state governments to intensify efforts in combating banditry and restoring peace to rural areas. He also urged well-meaning Nigerians to extend help to displaced families and survivors of violence.
