The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the banner of Operation Hadin Kai, has delivered a devastating blow to terrorist elements in Borno State through a series of precision airstrikes that destroyed multiple hideouts and neutralized numerous insurgents. These operations underscore the NAF's relentless commitment to eradicating terrorism and restoring peace to affected communities.

On December 14, 2025, NAF fighter jets targeted a major terrorist logistics hub at Daba Masara in the southern Tumbons region of Borno State, following credible intelligence reports of concealed vehicles, equipment workshops, and active insurgent presence. Surveillance missions confirmed the site's role as a critical supply and operational center for groups affiliated with ISWAP and Boko Haram.

The strikes, executed with pinpoint accuracy, obliterated several vehicles, destroyed key infrastructure, and neutralized multiple terrorists attempting to flee or regroup. This decisive action has significantly hampered the insurgents' ability to sustain their campaigns by disrupting vital supply lines in the Lake Chad basin area.

In parallel efforts within the Sambisa Forest, NAF aircraft struck terrorist enclaves at ARRA, a notorious hideout linked to recent ambushes on military and civilian convoys. Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations tracked terrorist movements post-ambush, leading to coordinated aerial bombardments that razed camps, command structures, and logistics facilities. Several terrorists were eliminated in the process, further degrading their operational and command networks in the region.

Additionally, in support of the 28 Task Force Brigade, NAF jets provided critical air cover during a multi-directional assault by ISWAP/Boko Haram on Chibok. Four successive airstrikes targeted regrouping fighters, inflicting heavy casualties and thwarting their attempts to reorganize or advance. This integrated air-ground response overwhelmed the attackers, preventing a potential major security breach and safeguarding local residents.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, commented on the operations: "These airstrikes have achieved their intended objectives by completely destroying targeted hideouts and significantly weakening terrorist capabilities. Our forces remain vigilant and committed to precision strikes that minimize risks while maximizing impact in the fight against insurgency."

The NAF continues to collaborate closely with sister services and international partners to enhance intelligence sharing and operational effectiveness. These recent successes build on ongoing efforts to deny terrorists safe havens and ensure the safety of Nigerians in the North-East.
