Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, today called on people from the South East region to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. He made this appeal during a meeting with leaders in Abia State.
Kalu stressed the need for unity in the Southern political corridor. He said the South East should stand behind Tinubu to ensure strong leadership continues. "We must invest our votes wisely," Kalu stated. He warned against wasting votes on other candidates.
The Deputy Speaker highlighted benefits for the region under Tinubu's government. He pointed to ongoing projects and reforms that help the South East. Kalu urged residents to focus on progress and avoid division.
South East APC leaders, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, also backed this call. They endorsed Tinubu as the zone's choice for 2027. Leaders from Abia assured Kalu of their full support.
