China today strongly condemned the United States for detaining Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that Beijing will never allow any nation to act as the world's judge. This response comes after U.S. authorities captured Maduro during his travel.

Wang Yi spoke clearly during a press briefing. He said, “We have never believed that any country can act as the world's police, nor do we accept that any nation can claim to be the world's judge.” He urged the U.S. to ensure Maduro's safety and release him immediately, along with his wife. China views this action as an attempt to topple a legitimate government.

The incident raises concerns about international relations. Maduro faces U.S. charges related to drug trafficking and corruption. However China sees this as interference in Venezuela's internal affairs. Officials in Beijing stress the need for respect among nations.

Wang added that such moves harm global stability. He called for dialogue instead of force. China supports Venezuela's sovereignty and opposes unilateral actions by powerful countries.

This statement aligns with China's foreign policy. The nation promotes multipolar world order and rejects hegemony. Leaders in Beijing continue to monitor the situation closely.
