First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu Pays Condolence Visit to Former Senate President Bukola Saraki Over Father-in-Law’s Passing

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, today paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, following the recent demise of his father-in-law, the renowned industrialist and patriarch, Otunba (Dr.) Adekunle Ojora.


Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife, passed away peacefully at the age of 93. 


Widely respected as a business mogul and community leader, his legacy spans decades of contributions to industry, philanthropy, and national development. 


He is survived by his wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, children including Mrs. Toyin Ojora-Saraki and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


During the visit, which took place in Lagos, Senator Oluremi Tinubu conveyed the personal sympathies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire First Family. She emphasized the deep bonds of unity and shared heritage that unite Nigerian families across political divides.


“We are one family,” the First Lady remarked, echoing words of comfort shared during the solemn occasion. 


“The passing of a loved one like Otunba Ojora is a profound loss, but his remarkable life and enduring impact continue to inspire us all. 


"On behalf of my husband, President Bola Tinubu, and the people of Nigeria, I extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Saraki, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, and the entire Ojora and Saraki families."


"May Almighty God grant him eternal rest and console all who mourn.”


Dr. Bukola Saraki, in welcoming the First Lady, expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting the honor of receiving such high-level solidarity during this period of grief. 


The visit underscores the importance of national unity, mutual respect, and compassion in times of bereavement.


The First Lady was accompanied by close aides, and the meeting included moments of reflection on Otunba Ojora’s illustrious life and contributions.


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government join all Nigerians in praying for the repose of Otunba Adekunle Ojora’s soul and for strength and comfort to his bereaved family.
