The Ogun State Police Command wishes to provide an official update regarding the case involving a female TikTok user known as Mirabel, who recently made viral allegations of sexual assault.
Following her voluntary appearance at the Ibafo Police Division to report the incident, Mirabel received immediate medical attention due to her reported unstable condition.
She was admitted to a medical facility for necessary treatment and care, including time in the intensive care unit as her well-being remained the Command's top priority during the initial phase.
The Ogun State Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirms that Mirabel has now been happily discharged from the hospital after receiving appropriate medical care. She is currently with the police authorities, where she is assisting investigators in further inquiries to establish the full facts of the matter.
“She has been happily discharged from the hospital and as we speak now, she’s with us for us to further the investigation and to get to the logical conclusions of whether those allegations were true or not,” DSP Babaseyi stated.
The Command reassures the public that a thorough, impartial, and professional investigation is underway to determine the veracity of the claims made. All relevant evidence, including medical reports and statements, is being carefully examined.
The police remain committed to upholding justice, protecting victims where allegations are substantiated, and addressing any instances of misinformation or false reporting in accordance with the law.
Members of the public are encouraged to avoid spreading unverified information on social media, as this can interfere with ongoing investigations. Further updates will be provided as developments occur.
The Ogun State Police Command appreciates the cooperation of all parties involved and remains dedicated to ensuring safety and justice for residents of the state.
