Meta today announced the global launch of new paid subscription tiers Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus offering users enhanced features and customization options across its core platforms. The subscriptions are effective immediately.
The new plans provide subscribers with premium experiences while keeping the core free versions of the apps fully available to everyone. Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus are priced at $3.99 per month each, while WhatsApp Plus is available for $2.99 per month.
“Today marks an exciting step as we roll out Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus, and WhatsApp Plus with enhanced features that our community already loves,” said Naomi Gleit, Meta’s Head of Product. “These subscriptions give users more ways to personalize their experience, gain deeper insights, and connect with greater flexibility. We’re committed to building even more value across our platforms.”
Instagram Plus & Facebook Plus: Advanced story insights and analytics, super reactions, extended story durations, profile customization options, unlimited audience lists, and more.
WhatsApp Plus: Custom themes, exclusive ringtones and stickers, additional pinned chats, enhanced privacy tools, and greater personalization.
These subscriptions are optional and additive, designed for users seeking an upgraded experience. Meta also indicated that further subscription offerings for businesses, creators, and AI features are in development under the Meta One umbrella.
The rollout is now live globally, and users can subscribe directly through the respective apps.
