President Donald J. Trump today revealed the design of a special commemorative U.S. passport to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence. The limited-edition “Patriot Passport” celebrates American heritage with bold patriotic imagery while delivering a clear message of welcome grounded in strength and respect for the rule of law.
The new passport features President Trump’s portrait prominently displayed on an interior page, set against the text of the Declaration of Independence and the American flag, accompanied by his signature in gold. Additional pages highlight historic imagery, including the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence, and incorporate “United States of America 250” branding. The design maintains all standard advanced security features of the next-generation U.S. passport, ensuring the highest levels of protection against counterfeiting.
“The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!’ President DJT,” Trump posted on Truth Social alongside images of the new design.
This limited-edition passport is part of nationwide celebrations for America 250. It will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting July 6 at the Washington Passport Agency, with no additional cost to applicants. Standard passport designs will remain available at other locations.
Quote from President Donald J. Trump: “America is back and stronger than ever. This new Patriot Passport honors our great history, our Founding Fathers, and the millions of patriots who built this country. We welcome people to our shores but we expect them to be good, respect our laws, and love this nation. It’s a passport that reflects the true spirit of America!”
The State Department emphasized that the commemorative passport upholds the integrity and security of U.S. travel documents while providing citizens with a unique way to carry a piece of American history.
