Tinubu Jets Out for Three-Week European Vacation as 2027 Campaign Looms

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday departed Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week annual leave.


According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President’s first stop will be London, United Kingdom.


“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave. His first stop will be London, United Kingdom,” the statement read.


Onanuga described the trip as a working vacation, noting that the President is expected to return home immediately after the leave to join preparations for the January 2027 general elections.


“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” the statement added.


The President’s departure comes as political activities intensify across the country ahead of the 2027 polls. Further details of his itinerary in London and other parts of Europe were not disclosed in the official statement.
