The bloc prioritizes Peter Obi, the Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate, as its top choice for the vice-presidential slot. If Obi declines, the group plans to approach Rotimi Amaechi, former Rivers State Governor and Minister of Transportation. Both candidates bring strong southern representation, with Obi from the Southeast and Amaechi from the South-South, enhancing the ticket's national unity appeal.
Atiku, who recently defected to the ADC from the Peoples Democratic Party, previously ran with Obi as his running mate in 2019.
