The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China today announced countermeasures against 20 U.S. military related enterprises and 10 senior executives in response to the United States' recent large-scale arms sales to the Taiwan region.
These actions are taken in accordance with the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China and aim to safeguard China's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
The U.S. announcement of arms sales to Taiwan, valued at up to $11.1 billion and including missiles, drones, and artillery systems, seriously violates the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiqués.
This move constitutes severe interference in China's internal affairs and undermines China's core interests. The Taiwan question lies at the core of China's core interests and represents the first red line that must not be crossed in China-U.S. relations.
All movable and immovable properties and other assets within China will be frozen. Organizations and individuals within China are prohibited from engaging in transactions, cooperation, or other activities with these entities.
All movable and immovable properties and other assets within China will be frozen. Additionally, visas will not be issued, and entry into China (including Hong Kong and Macau) is barred.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "Any provocative actions that cross the line on the Taiwan issue will be met with a forceful response from China. Any enterprise or individual involved in arms sales to Taiwan will pay the price for their misguided actions."
The spokesperson further emphasized that no country or force should underestimate China's determination, will, and capability to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
China urges the United States to abide by the one-China principle and the three joint communiqués, honor commitments made by U.S. leaders, cease dangerous moves to arm Taiwan, stop undermining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, and refrain from sending wrong signals to "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.
China will continue to take resolute and strong measures to firmly safeguard its national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
