The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) declares the South-East region of Nigeria safe and secure for the upcoming Christmas and New Year festivities. The group urges all Ndigbo, Biafrans, and their friends at home and abroad to visit Ala Igbo without fear, emphasizing the region's peacefulness and improved security measures.
IPOB highlights collaborative efforts with the Eastern Security Network (ESN) to provide robust protection throughout the festive period. Volunteers have cleared bushes along roads to eliminate hiding spots for criminals, ensuring safer travel. The organization warns any potential troublemakers or state-sponsored infiltrators to steer clear, promising swift action against disruptions.
"Alaigbo remains one of the most peaceful regions in Nigeria," stated IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful. "We encourage our people to return home and enjoy a peaceful festive season with guaranteed security."
This assurance counters recent narratives of insecurity, with IPOB committing to maintain calm and foster unity among the Igbo community. The group invites everyone to experience the warmth of Igboland during the holidays.
