President Donald Trump announced today that Iranian leaders have reached out to the United States seeking negotiations. This development occurs as the death toll from ongoing protests in Iran continues to climb, with human rights groups reporting over 500 fatalities amid a severe government crackdown.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump detailed the outreach from Tehran. "The leaders of Iran, they want to negotiate," he stated. "I think they're tired of being beat up by the United States. Iran wants to negotiate." The President noted that a meeting is in the process of being arranged following Iran's call on Saturday.

The protests, which began in late December over worsening economic conditions, have escalated into widespread demonstrations against the regime. Activists report at least 538 deaths, including 490 protesters, with thousands more arrested.

Trump emphasized that his administration receives hourly updates on the violence and is considering "very strong" options to support the protesters if the situation worsens.

The President has publicly warned that the U.S. will intervene if Iran kills peaceful demonstrators, underscoring America's commitment to freedom and human rights.dced6d While open to dialogue, Trump cautioned that action may precede talks if the red line is crossed.
