Troops of the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI have delivered another decisive blow to terrorist elements in the North East theatre, neutralising scores of insurgents and recovering a cache of arms and logistics items during sustained offensive operations under Operation DESERT SANITY V.

In a targeted night operation in Sector 2, gallant troops, working in close collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), successfully engaged and neutralised scores of terrorists around Muktum and Ngirbuwa villages in Yobe State.

The operation disrupted terrorist planning and movement, preventing potential attacks on civilian communities and security installations in the area.

Items recovered from the neutralized terrorists include various firearms, ammunition, and logistics supplies intended to sustain their criminal activities.

The precise details of the recovered items are being catalogued and will contribute to ongoing intelligence efforts to degrade the operational capabilities of Boko Haram and ISWAP remnants in the region.

The Theatre Commander, Operation HADIN KAI, commended the professionalism, bravery, and coordination displayed by the troops and their CJTF partners.

He reiterated the Nigerian Army's unwavering commitment to rooting out terrorism, protecting innocent lives, and restoring peace and normalcy to the North East.

"These operations demonstrate our resolve to deny terrorists freedom of action," the commander stated. "We will continue to pursue them relentlessly until every inch of our territory is safe for citizens to live, farm, and thrive without fear."

The Nigerian Army urges members of the public to continue providing credible, timely information on suspicious activities or terrorist presence through established channels.

Collaboration between security forces and communities remains key to ending the insurgency. Operation HADIN KAI remains on high alert and will sustain offensive pressure to ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians.
