The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) today announced exceptional financial results for the 2025 financial year, demonstrating robust operational efficiency, strategic resilience, and significant contributions to the Nigerian economy.
In its December 2025 Monthly Report Summary, NNPC Ltd reported total revenue of N60.517 trillion for the year.
This remarkable achievement reflects strong performance across upstream, downstream, and gas operations amid global energy market dynamics and domestic challenges.
The company posted a profit after tax (PAT) of N5.760 trillion (approximately $4.26 billion), underscoring improved profitability and effective cost management under the leadership of Group Chief Executive Officer, Bashir Bayo Ojulari.
NNPC Ltd remitted a substantial N14.706 trillion in statutory payments to government agencies and joint venture partners throughout 2025.
These remittances support critical national priorities, including federation allocations, infrastructure development, and public services.
Average crude oil and condensate production stood at approximately 1.62 million barrels per day (mbpd) for the year, with December output at 1.54 mbpd amid ongoing pipeline maintenance and efforts to stabilize production. Natural gas production remained strong, reaching 6,914 million standard cubic feet per day in December.
These results mark a continued upward trajectory for NNPC Ltd following its transformation into a commercial entity, with enhanced focus on value creation, transparency, and sustainable energy development.
Commenting on the results, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, said:
