The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, has confidently projected a resounding landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during engagements related to the recent local government congresses of the party, Senator Akpabio highlighted the overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, from traditional rulers, critical stakeholders, and the grassroots in Essien Udim LGA.
He emphasized that the area has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda and the progressive policies driving national and state development.
"The people of Essien Udim have spoken clearly through their leaders and representatives. Traditional institutions and key stakeholders have pledged their full support for President Bola Tinubu's continued leadership and Governor Umo Eno's visionary governance.
This unity and resolve signal that Essien Udim will deliver massive, unprecedented votes for the APC across all levels in 2027," Senator Akpabio declared.
The Senate President expressed strong optimism about the electoral prospects of the APC not only in Essien Udim but across Akwa Ibom State, attributing the momentum to strategic reconciliations, defections of prominent figures to the party, and effective grassroots mobilization.
He noted that such dynamics are positioning the APC as the dominant force in the state, poised to secure comprehensive victories for President Tinubu, himself, Governor Eno, and other party candidates.
"This is more than a prediction; it's a reflection of the ground realities, the enthusiasm of our supporters, and the tangible benefits of the Renewed Hope administration that the people are experiencing. Essien Udim LGA will lead the charge in ensuring Akwa Ibom becomes a stronghold of the APC, delivering a landslide mandate that echoes across the federation," he added.
Senator Akpabio commended the leadership of the APC at the national and state levels for fostering inclusivity and stability, urging all party members and supporters to sustain the momentum through continued mobilization and issue-based campaigns.
The Senate President's statement comes amid growing confidence within the APC ranks in Akwa Ibom, bolstered by recent political realignments and endorsements that have strengthened the party's structure ahead of the 2027 polls.
