Bishop David O. Oyedepo, Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel International), has issued a strong prophetic declaration against bandits, terrorists, kidnappers, and their sponsors fueling insecurity across Nigeria.
Speaking during a recent church service amid a surge in attacks on communities, churches, and schools, Bishop Oyedepo condemned the escalating violence and invoked divine judgment on all perpetrators and those backing them whether individuals, sympathizers, or high-level sponsors. He prophesied that the God of vengeance would act swiftly, with divine retribution manifesting within seven days for those responsible for the bloodshed and instability.
“The God of vengeance is alive,” the Bishop declared. He emphasized that the wicked cannot continue shedding innocent blood without consequence, stating that God had touched his tongue with a coal of fire, making his prophetic words potent and effective. He further insisted that Nigeria will never become an Islamic state, rejecting any agenda to destabilize the nation through terror.
In response to the crisis, Bishop Oyedepo called on believers nationwide to observe a 7-day midnight prayer chain aimed at destroying the roots of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and all forms of violence. The prayers are targeted at wiping out evil perpetrators, their enablers, and those pushing the country toward destruction political leaders or otherwise.
He reminded the congregation of past spiritual interventions, including the role of prayer in addressing global challenges like COVID-19, urging the church to arise and fight for the soul of Nigeria through fervent intercession.
This declaration comes as Nigeria continues to grapple with security challenges, including banditry in the North and attacks on Christian communities. Bishop Oyedepo’s message has energized many followers while sparking discussions on the power of spiritual warfare alongside practical security measures.
