Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has given strong assurance to residents that the teachers and students abducted during the recent attack on a school in the state will soon be reunited with their families.

The Governor gave this assurance while addressing concerns over the security incident, stating that security agencies are working round the clock to ensure the safe rescue of all the victims.

“Following the unfortunate attack on the school, I want to reassure the parents, guardians, and the good people of Oyo State that the abducted teachers and students will return home safely very soon,” Governor Makinde said.

He commended the security operatives for their swift response and ongoing efforts in tracking down the perpetrators, while emphasizing that the state government remains committed to the safety of all residents, particularly students and education workers.

The Governor further revealed that the Oyo State Government is collaborating closely with relevant security agencies at both state and federal levels to tackle insecurity and prevent future occurrences. He urged citizens to remain calm and provide useful information to security agencies where necessary.

This assurance comes as the state continues to strengthen its security architecture to protect lives and property, especially in rural and semi-urban communities.
