Manchester City Football Club manager Pep Guardiola has firmly dismissed growing media speculation suggesting he is set to leave the club at the end of the current season.
In response to repeated questions about his future during recent press engagements, Guardiola reiterated his commitment to the club, pointing to his existing contract which runs until 2027.
“I’ve said it so many times I have one more year,” Guardiola stated. “I am here, I have a contract. No way.” He also laughed off suggestions that upcoming matches could form part of any farewell tour and expressed no knowledge of reported plans for stadium honours linked to a potential departure.
Guardiola, who joined Manchester City in 2016, has overseen an era of unprecedented success, delivering multiple Premier League titles, the club’s first UEFA Champions League triumph, and a total of 20 major honours. His leadership has transformed the club into one of the world’s elite forces.
The manager emphasised his focus remains entirely on the team’s ongoing Premier League campaign and upcoming fixtures, stating that the “future is bright” for Manchester City with a talented and committed squad.
