Senator Barau Jibrin Submits APC Nomination Forms, Eyes Return to the Senate for Kano North

The Deputy President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Barau Jibrin, has formally submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.


Senator Barau, who represents the Kano North Senatorial District, submitted the completed forms at 1:45 p.m. today at the Treasures Suites and Conferences Hotel in Abuja.


In a statement following the submission, the Deputy Senate President expressed profound gratitude to the people of Kano North for their unwavering support and reaffirmed his dedication to their welfare and development.



“Insha Allah, we will continue to work tirelessly to address the challenges confronting our people and to advance programmes and initiatives that improve their lives,” Senator Barau said.


He further emphasized: “Our commitment to the welfare, progress, and development of our constituents across the 13 Local Government Areas of Kano North Senatorial District remains our highest priority. This is the essence of our service and the true purpose of politics.”


Senator Barau Jibrin has distinguished himself as one of the most prominent legislative leaders from the North-West geopolitical zone. He rose to the position of Deputy President of the Senate following the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly in June 2023.


His record of legislative excellence, effective representation, and commitment to national development continues to earn him widespread support across Kano State and beyond.
