The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has firmly refuted media reports and circulating rumours claiming that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has threatened to leave the party.
In a statement issued today, NDC National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, described the claims as “baseless rumours and deliberate misinformation” being peddled by opponents uncomfortable with the party’s rising momentum.
“There is absolutely no truth to the assertion that Engineer Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is threatening to leave the NDC. These are fabricated stories meant to create unnecessary tension,” Director stated.
The spokesman noted that while internal consultations and reconciliations are ongoing in Kano State and other areas a standard democratic process Senator Kwankwaso remains fully committed to the NDC and the alliance with Presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi.
Director assured that the party leadership is proactively addressing all legitimate concerns to strengthen unity ahead of the 2027 general elections. He urged party members and the general public to disregard the divisive rumours and stay focused on the mission to rescue Nigeria.
The NDC called on all supporters to remain steadfast as the party continues to build a strong, credible alternative for Nigerians.
