DR Congo took a shock lead in the 7th minute through Brian Cipenga, but England responded strongly after the break. Substitute Anthony Gordon provided two crucial assists as Kane equalized with a header in the 75th minute and fired home the winner in the 86th minute.
The win, though hard-fought against a resilient and well-organized DR Congo side, keeps England’s World Cup campaign alive.
