The Iranian Army has declared that its retaliatory strikes in the region will continue until United States attacks on Iranian infrastructure and coastal areas cease, amid escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict.
In a statement broadcast on state television, Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia affirmed Iran’s resolve, saying the armed forces are prepared for “every enemy scenario.” He emphasized that retaliatory actions would persist in direct response to ongoing US operations targeting the country.
The declaration comes after US President Donald Trump warned that the United States would target Iranian bridges and power plants in response to any Iranian strikes on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy chokepoint that has seen significant disruptions.
“The armed forces' retaliatory attacks will continue as long as the US attacks on the country's infrastructure and coastal areas continue,” Akraminia stated.
Iran has framed its position as a necessary defense of sovereignty, with military leaders warning of broader and more destructive responses if aggression continues. The country maintains readiness across multiple scenarios, including potential ground operations, and has mobilized reserves where needed.
