Paris Saint-Germain have rejected multiple offers from Manchester City for Nigeria Super Falcons midfielder Jennifer Echegini, according to reports.
The 25-year-old is regarded as a key player at the French club, which is unwilling to sell with a year remaining on her contract. Echegini joined PSG from Juventus in 2024 and has established herself as an important figure in midfield.
The Nigerian international, who spent much of her youth career in England, scored the winning goal in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final against Morocco last year, helping the Super Falcons claim a record-extending 10th title.
Manchester City are seeking to strengthen their squad ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline and the start of the Women’s Super League season this weekend. The club is also dealing with the absence of Vivianne Miedema, who will miss the beginning of the campaign with a knee injury.
