Gombe State Government has sponsored the free transport fares of Indigenes students under the Students Exchange program.

In a statement released by Head of Media, Gombe State Transport Services, Muhammad Sani Usman said the exercise took place today Tuesday, 17 September 2024 at Science Secondary School II Gombe.

According to Muhammad, in a farewell speech to the students, the coordinator of the program from the Ministry of Education Malam Mohammed Aisami called on the students to be good ambassadors of Gombe State and to have good manners wherever they find themselves to protect their integrity and reputation of Gombe State across the country.

"I advise you to avoid dealing with any other illegal substances, that would distract and distort your thoughts, and also to obey the schools' rules and regulations." He warned.

The management staff of Gombe Line was at the school premises to ensure all the arrangements had been made for the success of the trip as instructed by the Governor.

In their remarks, the parents of the students who benefited from the free transport fares expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Gombe State Governor Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for sponsorship.

They Said "We would like to use this opportunity to thank the governor His Excellency Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Ministry of Education, and Director General Gombe State Transport Services Dr. Sani Sabo for making all the necessary arrangements to ensure the students return successfully.

"We also witnessed the governor's commitment to enhancing the education sector in Gombe state"

Lastly, "we wish you journey mercy"

Prayers were performed for a safe journey for the students who returned to various states across Nigeria while the management of Gombe Line will continue to monitor the movement of the vehicles that were traveling on the road until they reach their destination safely.
