The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of a Canadian national for attempting to import a significant quantity of illicit drugs into Nigeria. This arrest underscores the agency’s ongoing commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
The suspect, whose identity is being withheld pending further investigation, was apprehended at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. NDLEA operatives discovered the illicit substances concealed within the suspect’s luggage during a routine inspection. The drugs, which include a variety of controlled substances, were intended for distribution within Nigeria.
