AC Milan striker Tammy Abraham, who has been overlooked for recent England national team selections, has hinted at his desire to return to Nigeria, the country of his parents. In a recent interview, Abraham expressed his deep connection to Nigerian culture and his hopes to visit the West African nation soon.

Born in London to Nigerian parents, Abraham has always maintained a strong bond with his Nigerian heritage. Despite choosing to represent England at the senior level, the 27-year-old forward has not forgotten his roots.

Abraham shared his experiences growing up in a Nigerian household, stating, “I was raised with that culture, I’ve been to Nigeria, and I hope to go back soon. My mom often cooks Nigerian dishes, and I have many Nigerian friends.”

The former Chelsea striker made his competitive debut for England in 2020 but has been left out of recent squads, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Abraham’s comments have sparked speculation about a potential future involvement with Nigerian football, although he remains committed to his current club, AC Milan.

Abraham’s remarks have resonated with many fans in Nigeria, who have long hoped to see him don the green and white jersey of the Super Eagles. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had previously made efforts to convince him to switch allegiance, but Abraham opted to continue his international career with England.
