FC Bayern Munich and Chelsea Football Club have officially reached a revised agreement for the transfer of Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson, marking a significant development in the final hours of the summer transfer window.
Under the newly structured deal, Jackson will join Bayern Munich on loan with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2026. The agreement includes a €16.5 million loan fee, with a permanent transfer clause valued at €65 million, bringing the total package to approximately €81.5 million.
This move follows a dramatic weekend in which the original deal was temporarily halted due to an injury to Chelsea striker Liam Delap. Despite the setback, Jackson and his representatives remained committed to the Bundesliga switch, with the player staying in Munich throughout negotiations.
Ali Barat, Jackson’s agent, commented: “Nico was ready. Bayern was ready. We were all aligned on a world-class project. For the agreement to be withdrawn at the final moment was deeply frustrating. But we didn’t give up.”
Jackson, 24, has signed a five-year contract with Bayern and is expected to bolster the club’s attacking options immediately. The Bavarians, led by head coach Vincent Kompany, view Jackson as a long-term asset capable of thriving in the Bundesliga and European competitions.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have recalled Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland to reinforce their forward line, while continuing to reshape their squad ahead of the deadline.
