White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt today shared the joyful news of her pregnancy with the American public. Leavitt, 28, and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60, expect their second child, a baby girl, in May 2026.

The announcement came via Instagram, where Leavitt posted photos of herself in a white sweater dress posing by a Christmas tree.

She captioned the images: "The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for - a baby girl coming in May 2026. My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.

Leavitt and Riccio welcomed their first child, son Nicholas Robert Riccio, nicknamed "Niko," on July 10, 2024. The couple got engaged over the Christmas holiday in 2023. Following Niko's birth, Leavitt returned to work on President Donald Trump's 2024 campaign shortly after, forgoing maternity leave amid the July 13 assassination attempt on the President in Butler, Pennsylvania.

This pregnancy marks a historic moment, as Leavitt becomes the first White House Press Secretary to serve while expecting. She plans to continue fulfilling her duties throughout her term.
