The Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), has successfully matriculated 1,996 new students

The event, which marked a significant milestone in the institution's commitment to agricultural education and technological advancement, welcomed fresh intakes eager to contribute to Nigeria's food security, sustainable farming practices, and agro-industrial development.


In his address at the ceremony, the Rector of OYSCATECH congratulated the matriculating students on their successful admission and urged them to embrace the rigorous academic and practical training offered by the college. 


He emphasized the institution's focus on producing skilled, innovative graduates equipped to address contemporary challenges in agriculture, including climate-smart farming, agribusiness entrepreneurship, and value chain development.


"The matriculation of 1,996 students this year reflects the growing interest in agricultural education and the confidence that parents, guardians, and stakeholders have in OYSCATECH as a centre of excellence," the Rector stated. "We are dedicated to providing quality education, hands-on training, and research opportunities that will empower our students to become leaders in the agricultural sector and drivers of economic growth in Oyo State and beyond."


The matriculating students were administered the matriculation oath, formally admitting them into the college community and committing them to uphold the institution's values of discipline, integrity, and academic excellence.


OYSCATECH, a leading tertiary institution in Oyo State specializing in agriculture and related technologies, continues to expand its programmes to meet national demands for skilled manpower in food production, processing, and sustainable resource management.


The college management expressed appreciation to the Oyo State Government, the Governing Council, staff, and partners for their continued support in enhancing infrastructure, academic standards, and student welfare.
