In a heartwarming display of love, inclusion, and commitment to supporting persons with disabilities, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, Founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has gifted his adopted autistic son, formerly known as Aboy and now renamed Elijah, a brand-new Lexus car and a plot of land.
The generous gifts, presented to Elijah and his wife shortly after their wedding on March 29, 2026, are intended to support the couple’s new life together. In addition, Apostle Chibuzor has appointed Elijah as Ambassador for OPM’s Free School for Autism and Down Syndrome, a pioneering initiative dedicated to providing quality education and care for children with autism and Down syndrome at no cost.
“Former Aboy, now Elijah, has received a Lexus car gift, while both he and his wife were also given a plot of land,” the cleric announced today. “Today, April 5, 2026, he has also been appointed as an Ambassador for OPM Free School for Autism and Down Syndrome.”
Elijah, who was abandoned as a child and lovingly raised under the care of Apostle Chibuzor and the OPM family, has become a symbol of hope and resilience.
His recent marriage, officiated by the pastor, drew widespread attention and sparked conversations about love, acceptance, and second chances. The pastor had previously made a public appeal for a life partner for Elijah, culminating in the joyful union and now these landmark gifts.
Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, known for his philanthropic work and unwavering support for the vulnerable, emphasised that the gesture underscores OPM’s mission to empower individuals with special needs and integrate them fully into society.
“Elijah’s journey is a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of unconditional love,” the pastor stated. “By appointing him as Ambassador, we are not only celebrating his new chapter but also shining a light on the incredible potential of every child and adult living with autism and Down syndrome. Our free school stands as a beacon of hope, and Elijah will now help champion its impact.”
The OPM Free School for Autism and Down Syndrome offers specialised education, therapy, and holistic support to dozens of children, removing financial barriers that often limit access to quality care.
This latest act of generosity follows earlier welfare packages announced for the couple, including financial support, accommodation, and other incentives, reinforcing OPM’s dedication to transforming lives through compassion and practical intervention.
Omega Power Ministries continues to lead in humanitarian efforts across Nigeria, with programmes ranging from free education and healthcare to empowerment initiatives for widows, orphans, and persons with disabilities.
