Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has issued a strong call to all eligible voters in Kogi State to immediately revalidate their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as part of the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) exercise.
The Senator stressed that revalidation is not optional but a civic responsibility that guarantees every citizen’s voice counts in future elections. With the continuous voter registration and revalidation window now open across the state, she warned that failure to act could lead to disenfranchisement.
“Every Kogi resident of voting age must treat this as a personal and collective duty,” Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan said. “Your voter card is your power. Revalidate it today so that no one can silence you tomorrow. Whether you live in Lokoja, Okene, Idah, or any of our communities, this is the moment to secure your right to choose the leaders who will shape our future. Apathy is not an option participation is the only path to progress.”
The Senator commended INEC for making the process accessible and urged residents to visit the nearest INEC Local Government Area office or designated revalidation centre with their existing PVC, National Identity Number (NIN), or any valid means of identification. She also directed her constituency office to provide free logistical support and information to constituents who need assistance.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan further assured Kogi people that her office remains committed to protecting their electoral rights and will continue to monitor the exercise to ensure it is smooth, transparent, and inclusive.
Residents are encouraged to act swiftly before the window closes to avoid any last-minute rush or exclusion
