Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, was present today at the Federal High Court in Abuja for the bail hearing of Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as BLORD, the founder of the Blord Group of Companies.

BLORD, a prominent Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur and fintech investor from Anambra State, appeared in court amid ongoing legal proceedings stemming from allegations related to a high-profile dispute involving social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM). The case has attracted significant public attention due to claims of impersonation and related charges.

Sowore, who has been vocal in his support for BLORD’s release, confirmed his presence at the proceedings and provided updates on the development. He noted that BLORD’s legal team had filed a fresh bail application, while the police filed a counter-affidavit opposing it. Despite the virtual nature of parts of the hearing via Zoom, the matter was formally handled under the authority of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

During the hearing, Sowore reassured the public that BLORD remained mentally strong and in good spirits, even after a period of detention. He emphasized the importance of due process and fair hearing in the justice system.

In a positive outcome for the embattled entrepreneur, the court granted BLORD bail on self-recognizance, with the condition that he deposit his international passport with the court. This development marks a significant step toward his temporary release pending further proceedings.

Sowore described the ruling as a victory for justice and called for continued vigilance in protecting the rights of citizens, regardless of their social or economic status.

“Today, we stood for fairness and the rule of law. BLORD has been granted bail, and we must continue to advocate for a justice system that works for all Nigerians,” Sowore stated.

The case, which has generated widespread discussions on social media, involves complex issues at the intersection of cryptocurrency, digital platforms, and legal accountability.

BLORD, known for his ventures in crypto trading, real estate, and fintech through companies like Blord Real Estate Ltd. and Billpoint Technology, has built a large following as a self-made entrepreneur.

Supporters and observers gathered at the court, with some drama reported between parties involved, highlighting the intense public interest in the matter.
