Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and resilient, assuring citizens that the nation’s security challenges will soon be a thing of the past.

Speaking at a special gathering of women leaders, faith-based organizations, and community stakeholders in Abuja, the First Lady emphasized the importance of unity, faith, and collective support for the government’s efforts to restore peace and stability across the country.

“I want every Nigerian, especially our young people and mothers who bear the brunt of insecurity, to keep hope alive,” Senator Tinubu said. “This season of pain and fear will not last forever. Insecurity will end. Better days are ahead of us as a nation.”

The First Lady commended the sacrifices of Nigeria’s security forces and applauded recent gains recorded in the fight against insurgency, banditry, and other forms of criminality. She noted that while challenges remain, the renewed commitment of the administration, coupled with the resilience of the Nigerian people, provides strong reasons for optimism.

Senator Tinubu further urged Nigerians to reject despair and avoid narratives that undermine national cohesion. She called for sustained prayers, community vigilance, and support for initiatives aimed at addressing the root causes of insecurity, including poverty, unemployment, and youth restiveness.

“As a mother and as your First Lady, my heart goes out to every family that has been affected by violence. I share in your pain. But I also share in the assurance that this government is working tirelessly, and with God’s help, we shall overcome,” she added.

The event also featured the launch of a new initiative under the Renewed Hope Agenda focused on women and youth empowerment in conflict-prone areas, aimed at fostering economic opportunities and social stability.
