Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria and daughter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has strongly rejected the outcomes of the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Lagos State, alleging widespread irregularities and manipulation in favour of one faction within the party.

In a strongly worded statement issued after a press interaction at her residence, the Iyaloja-General warned that she is prepared to mobilise a protest if the grievances of affected aspirants are not urgently addressed. She specifically cited the cases of Seye Oladejo of Mushin Federal Constituency 02, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo of Agege 2 Constituency, and Olotu Ojo of Ojokoro Constituency, asserting that these candidates won their respective primaries but were denied victory due to alleged interference.

“We are ready to protest because of Seye Oladejo of Mushin Federal Constituency 02, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo of Agege 2 constituency, Olotu Ojo of Ojokoro constituency, because we know they won this election. Their mandate should not be given to somebody else,” she declared.

Mrs. Tinubu-Ojo expressed deep concern over the growing tension between the Justice Forum and Mandate Group factions, warning that the alleged imposition of candidates could deepen internal divisions and weaken the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. She called for an immediate and transparent review of the primary results by both state and national leadership of the party to ensure fairness, justice, and inclusion for all members.

The Iyaloja-General emphasised that market leaders and other critical stakeholders she represents are united in demanding equity in the process, stressing that unresolved issues could have broader implications for party cohesion in Lagos State.

This development comes as the APC concludes its primaries across the country in preparation for the 2027 elections. Political observers are watching closely to see how the party’s national leadership will respond to the concerns raised by such a prominent figure within the Tinubu political family.
