Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has sparked widespread discussion with her candid and empathetic advice to young women facing economic hardships, urging them not to remain in survival-driven choices like commercial sex work.

Speaking during a recent television interview on Morayo’s show, the seasoned actress shared her views on survival, self-worth, personal growth, and the importance of sowing positive seeds for the future.

“If what you are doing now is being a runs girl to make money, you don’t have to stay there. I understand it, I never judge,” she stated. “If that’s what you have to do right now to make a living feed your mum or send your siblings to school  fine, but don’t stay there.”

Shaffy Bello further encouraged women involved in such activities to approach it with dignity if necessary, but emphasized the need for progression and self-improvement. She advised against relying on explicit content or body exposure for quick attention and viral fame, stressing that “the seeds that you sow matter.”

“You don’t have to show your boobs to be sexy, and you don’t have to shake your bum bum to go viral,” she added.

The actress’s comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some praising her non-judgmental stance and understanding of economic realities, while others debate the implications of her message.

Shaffy Bello, known for her roles in numerous Nigerian films and her advocacy for women’s empowerment, has often used her platform to speak openly on social issues, relationships, and personal development.
