Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has declared that the next President of Nigeria has already been decided by God, urging Nigerians to seek divine guidance and remain prayerful as the nation prepares for future leadership transitions.
Speaking during a recent ministerial session and public address, Pastor Adeboye emphasized the sovereignty of God in the affairs of nations, stating that no political maneuvering, alliance, or human calculation can override divine will.
“The next president has been decided by God,” Pastor Adeboye said. “It is not a matter of money, connections, or political structures. God has already made His choice. Our duty as a people is to align ourselves with His perfect will through prayer, righteousness, and obedience.”
The respected cleric, whose influence spans millions across Africa and the global RCCG community, called on Christians and all Nigerians to prioritize spiritual discernment over worldly strategies in the selection and support of leaders. He stressed that peace, progress, and prosperity in the country depend on leaders chosen and endorsed by God.
Pastor Adeboye further noted that while citizens have a civic responsibility to participate in the democratic process, ultimate authority rests with the Almighty. He warned against desperation and division, encouraging unity in prayer for the nation’s leadership.
This statement comes amid ongoing national conversations about leadership, governance, and the 2031 general elections, as many Nigerians look ahead to the post-2027 political landscape.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has consistently advocated for godly leadership and national transformation through its various ministries, including the annual Holy Ghost Congress and regional conventions that draw millions of worshippers.
