Senator Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan has formally emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Kogi State Chapter of the PDP ratified an automatic ticket for the incumbent Senator following a successful screening exercise in which she presented all required credentials. Her emergence reflects overwhelming support from party leaders, stakeholders, and constituents who have commended her performance and dedication since assuming office.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, the first elected female Senator from Kogi State, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her leadership. She reaffirmed her commitment to delivering quality representation, legislative excellence, and people-oriented projects across the five Local Government Areas of Kogi Central.

“I am pleased to have successfully completed the screening exercise... I remain committed to serving the good people of Kogi Central with even greater purpose, courage, and dedication,” she stated after the process.

Her second-term agenda focuses on continued advocacy for infrastructure development, youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for the people of Kogi Central.

The PDP leadership in Kogi State described Senator Natasha’s candidature as a strategic choice based on her proven track record, accessibility, and impactful contributions in the National Assembly. Party stakeholders emphasized unity behind her candidacy to ensure victory at the polls in 2027.

This development positions Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan to seek re-election as the standard bearer of the PDP in what is expected to be a keenly contested race in Kogi Central.

Senator Natasha called on all residents of Kogi Central  regardless of party affiliation — to join hands in building a more prosperous and united district. She urged supporters to remain focused, peaceful, and committed to the vision of progressive representation.
