STRATEGIC DISMANTLING OF CRIMINAL INFRASTRUCTURE: SPECIAL FORCES RAIDS ILLEGAL ARMS FACTORY IN PLATEAU STATE

 

Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have recorded landmark results in eliminating dangerous criminal infrastructure and neutralizing kidnapping networks embedded within civilian communities. 

Operating across Plateau, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Kaduna, and the Federal Capital Territory, the military has widened its security net to strip criminal syndicates of their personnel and operational latitude. 

The comprehensive campaign during the period resulted in the neutralization of 9 terrorists, the arrest of 36 suspects, and the liberation of 15 civilians.

The most strategically significant milestone was achieved in Vom, Jos South LGA of Plateau State, where troops successfully unmasked and dismantled an illegal arms manufacturing complex. 

A Quick Reaction Force conducted a swift raid on two active production sites, catching five suspects in the act of manufacturing illegal firearms. This precision operation severely undermines the localized capacity of criminal syndicates to source illicit weapons for terrorizing innocent Nigerians.

During the raid, highly vigilant troops recovered nine fabricated AK-47 rifles, a locally fabricated pistol, seven AK-47 skeletons, four recoiling springs, four revolver engines, and an extensive array of industrial drilling, filing, and welding equipment. 

This success was further augmented by a landmark joint raid in Lugbe, FCT, which rounded up 61 criminal suspects and recovered various firearms and communication equipment. These outstanding outcomes represent the military's total dedication to executing aggressive kinetic and intelligence operations to secure the nation's capital and surrounding states.
