Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have severely degraded Boko Haram and ISWAP networks across the North-East through aggressive night ambushes, clearance maneuvers, and heroic defensive responses

Operating across Adamawa, Borno, Taraba, and Yobe States, the highly motivated troops maintained an unyielding tempo that recorded a compelling succession of operational successes. In total, the theatre operations neutralized 73 insurgents, arrested 159 suspects, and forced 18 terrorists to surrender due to mounting psychological pressure.

In a major operational highlight demonstrating extraordinary combat readiness, troops deployed at Dutsen Kura in Biu LGA spotted a mass kidnapping of commuters in progress along the Buratai–Kamuya Road. A Quick Reaction Force was immediately mobilized, aggressively pursuing the terrorists and forcing them to abandon 8 transit vehicles and all 92 captive citizens. The rescued commuters, comprising 52 adult males, 33 adult females, and 7 children, were safely escorted to Damaturu to continue their journeys.

Demonstrating high technical proficiency and vigilance, the troops also detected and safely detonated 3 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted along the Bula Zarma–Mangari Road to ambush military reinforcements

This success complements earlier breakthroughs in Bama LGA, where troops intercepted a cross-border logistics convoy from Cameroon and rescued several women and children abducted during the March 2026 Ngoshe community raid. The Chief of Defence Staff has highly commended the extraordinary gallantry and tactical ingenuity of the troops across the entire theatre.
