The Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria wishes to alert the general public to the activities of a fictitious entity fraudulently parading itself as an official "Presidential Group" or "Presidential Advisory Council" operating under the authority of the President.

This non-existent group has no affiliation whatsoever with the Presidency, the Office of the President, or any arm of the Federal Government. It does not represent the views or directives of the President, nor does it have any mandate to engage with citizens, businesses, or foreign entities on behalf of the Nigerian government.

Individuals claiming to be members of this so-called "Presidential Group" have been approaching members of the public, requesting payments, personal information, or "facilitation fees" for supposed government contracts, appointments, or special privileges.

The group has been using forged letterheads, fake official seals, and impersonated contact details mimicking those of State House, Abuja.

No such organization has been established or recognized by the Presidency.

The Presidency strongly advises citizens to exercise vigilance and verify the authenticity of any communication purportedly from the Office of the President through official channels only.

"Scam artists continue to exploit the goodwill of the government to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians and international partners. We urge the public to report any suspicious activities immediately to the relevant security agencies," said a Presidency spokesperson.

The Nigeria Police Force, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and other law enforcement agencies have been directed to investigate and prosecute individuals involved in this fraudulent scheme.

Members of the public who have been contacted by this fake group are encouraged to report the incident with all relevant details to the nearest police station or the EFCC.

The Presidency remains committed to transparency, good governance, and the protection of citizens from all forms of economic sabotage and deceit.
