Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, has donated a brand new Toyota Hiace bus to the Kwara State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
The association, in a statement signed by its State Secretary, Apostle Shina Ibiyemi, expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for the generous intervention, describing it as a clear demonstration of inclusive leadership, commitment to religious harmony, and unwavering support for faith-based organisations in the state.
According to the statement, the vehicle will significantly enhance the operational efficiency of the Association and assist in the effective discharge of its responsibilities across Kwara State.
“This kind gesture is a demonstration of Your Excellency’s inclusive leadership, commitment to religious harmony, and unwavering support for faith-based organizations in Kwara State,” the statement read.
“The Christian community in Kwara State deeply appreciates this thoughtful intervention, which further underscores the cordial relationship that exists between the Government of Kwara State and the Christian faithful. It is a clear testimony to Your Excellency’s belief in equity, justice, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence among all religious groups in the State.”
CAN also commended Governor AbdulRazaq’s visionary leadership, humility, and dedication to the development of Kwara State, noting progress recorded under his administration in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, youth empowerment, and social inclusion.
The Association assured the Governor of its continued prayers and support for his administration, while praying for sustained peace, unity, security, and prosperity in the state.
“On behalf of the entire Christian community in Kwara State, we offer our sincere prayers for His Excellency and his administration. We pray that Almighty God will continue to grant him divine wisdom, sound health, strength, and guidance as he steers the affairs of our dear State,” the statement concluded.
