Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Wednesday swore in two new Kadis of the Upper Sharia Court, charging them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and the fear of Allah in the discharge of their duties.

The newly appointed Kadis are Kadi Ibrahim Abdullahi Yakubu Dandume and Kadi Bala Salisu Daura. Their appointments were recommended by the National Judicial Council and approved by the Governor.

At the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House in Katsina, Governor Radda emphasized that the oath of office represents a solemn covenant and a profound responsibility.

“You know the responsibility you have accepted, and you know what you have sworn to uphold,” the Governor told the new judicial officers. “At a critical time like this, when the fair and impartial dispensation of justice is essential to peace, harmony and peaceful coexistence, you have a great responsibility to serve the people and the state with integrity, fairness and the fear of Allah.

Governor Radda noted that the appointments will strengthen the state’s judiciary and boost public confidence in the Sharia judicial system. He commended the leadership of the Chief Judge and the entire judiciary for their dedication to justice delivery and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting an independent and effective judiciary.

The Governor called on all institutions and residents to collaborate in sustaining peace and security, stating that “We do not have any State better than Katsina. Therefore, all of us must continue to work together, cooperate with one another, and remain united in making Katsina State a better place for all our people.”
