Real Madrid CF has issued an official statement firmly denying any interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández, describing recent speculation as “unfounded” and not corresponding to reality.
“In light of the reports and statements that have appeared in recent days regarding an alleged interest from Real Madrid CF in the player Enzo Fernández, the club wishes to state that it has not made any effort, either direct or indirect, to sign the aforementioned player and, likewise, has no intention of undertaking such an operation,” the club said in its statement.
Real Madrid emphasized its respect for both the player and Chelsea FC, highlighting the principles of institutional loyalty that guide its actions. “Precisely because of the respect that an entity like Chelsea FC deserves and because of the principles of institutional loyalty that have always governed the actions of Real Madrid, the club considers it necessary to categorically deny these speculations,” the statement added.
The denial comes after Fernández’s agent hinted at exploring summer options amid ongoing transfer speculation linking the Argentine international with a move to the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid remains focused on its squad planning under its current coaching staff and has no plans to pursue the 25-year-old midfielder.
