Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has enthusiastically commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the dualisation of key road infrastructure projects that promise to transform connectivity between Plateau and Taraba States and drive regional development.

The Governor’s commendation highlights the Federal Government’s ongoing commitment to transformative infrastructure under the Renewed Hope Agenda. This includes the dualisation and rehabilitation of vital corridors such as sections of the Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Maiduguri Road and strategic linkages directly benefiting Plateau-Taraba connectivity.

Speaking at the flag-off of related projects, including the Babban Lamba–Sharam Road (Phase II), Governor Mutfwang described the approvals as a testament to President Tinubu’s dedication to Plateau State and the broader North-Central and North-East regions. These initiatives are set to revolutionize transportation, accelerate economic growth, boost agriculture, ease the movement of goods and people, and foster stronger regional integration.

Governor Mutfwang stated: “I sincerely appreciate Mr. President for approving the dualisation of the Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Maiduguri Road, a landmark project that will significantly improve transportation, stimulate economic growth, and strengthen regional integration across the North-Central and North-East.”

These projects are part of a sweeping Federal Executive Council approval covering multiple high-impact road initiatives worth trillions of naira across several states, underscoring the administration’s focus on game-changing infrastructure.

Governor Mutfwang stressed that the developments represent far more than roads  they are vital economic lifelines that will generate opportunities, enhance security, and uplift the lives of residents across Plateau, Taraba, and neighboring communities.

Quote from Governor Caleb Mutfwang: “This important project is yet another demonstration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to the development of Plateau State and the well-being of its people. The President has continued to show compassion, empathy, and genuine friendship through deliberate investments in critical infrastructure.”

The Plateau State Government remains fully committed to partnering with the Federal Government to ensure the timely and successful delivery of these projects for the benefit of all citizens.
