Former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu, urging them to accept his shortcomings and look forward to his continued leadership. Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) South West Zone Assembly meeting held at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, Osoba emphasized the collective effort that led to Tinubu’s presidency and the unwavering support from the Yoruba community.

“Now that Bola Tinubu is there, I want to plead with all of you to accept his shortcomings. He will do better.

Osoba highlighted the historical significance of Tinubu’s presidency, noting that it represents a culmination of efforts by Yoruba leaders to secure national leadership. He recalled the pivotal decision made in 2007, which transitioned Tinubu from state politics to a national role, underscoring the unity and determination of the Yoruba people.

“Bola didn’t make himself the President of Nigeria; we did,” Osoba remarked.

The former governor also reflected on the challenges faced by previous Yoruba leaders in their quest for national leadership, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to witness Tinubu’s success. He urged the assembly and the wider Yoruba community to continue their support, emphasizing that Tinubu’s leadership is a collective achievement.

As President since 2023, Bola Tinubu has emerged as a key figure in Nigerian politics. Osoba reassured Nigerians that Tinubu would address any shortcomings and deliver on his promises, reinforcing the confidence placed in him by the Yoruba community.
