Juventus Football Club is thrilled to announce that Paul Pogba’s four-year ban has been successfully reduced to 18 months following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). This decision paves the way for Pogba to return to competitive football by March 2025.
Pogba, who was initially suspended in September 2023 after testing positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), a banned substance, has maintained his innocence throughout the investigation. The CAS ruling acknowledged that the substance was recommended by a nutritionist not affiliated with Juventus, leading to the reduction of his suspension.
“We are extremely pleased with the CAS decision, which takes into account the unique circumstances of Paul’s case,” said a Juventus spokesperson. “Paul has shown great resilience and cooperation during this challenging period, and we eagerly anticipate his return to the team.”
Paul Pogba, a key player for both Juventus and the French national team, has faced numerous challenges since rejoining Juventus in 2022, including injuries and off-field issues. Despite these setbacks, he remains a vital asset to the club.
“I am thankful for the unwavering support from my family, teammates, and fans,” Pogba stated. “I look forward to resuming training in January and contributing to Juventus’ success in the upcoming season.”
Juventus is confident that Pogba’s return will significantly strengthen the team as they compete for both domestic and international titles.
