Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of England international Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £67.5 million, comprising £60 million upfront and £7.5 million in performance-based add-ons.

Eze, 27, joins the Gunners on a four-year contract with an option for a fifth year. He will wear the iconic No. 10 shirt, previously donned by club legends such as Dennis Bergkamp and Mesut Özil.

Manager Mikel Arteta expressed his excitement: “We are absolutely delighted to bring Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a powerful and exciting player who will give us a new dimension in our attacking game. His journey, his mentality, and his ambition are exactly what we want in our team.”

Eze’s arrival marks a homecoming of sorts, having spent time in Arsenal’s academy as a youngster before being released at age 13. His return to north London is especially meaningful to both the player and the fans.

Sporting Director Andrea Berta added: “Eberechi is a creative and explosive talent with huge technical quality. His experience at international level with England underlines his character and readiness for the big stage.”

During his five-year spell at Crystal Palace, Eze made over 150 appearances and played a pivotal role in their historic FA Cup final victory over Manchester City. He also featured in England’s Euro 2024 squad and scored his first international goal in a World Cup qualifier earlier this year.
