The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has boldly declared that no previous administration has achieved the scale and speed of infrastructural development currently being witnessed under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership in the FCT.

Speaking during the commissioning of the newly completed Engineering Infrastructure in Wuye District, Wike emphasized that the Tinubu-led administration has set an unprecedented benchmark in urban renewal and public service delivery across the capital city.

“I want to challenge anybody to show me any administration in the history of this city that has matched what we’ve done in just a few months under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Wike stated. “This is the 20th day of project flag-offs and commissioning. That is not a coincidence — it is a testament to purposeful leadership and commitment to the people of the FCT”.

Wike highlighted that many of these projects had been stalled or abandoned for over a decade, with some dating back to 2009. He credited President Tinubu’s political will and strategic vision for unlocking the resources and momentum needed to complete them.

“This is not about politics. It’s about results. The people of Wuye and other districts can now see and feel the impact of governance. That’s what leadership is about,” Wike added.

The Minister also praised the synergy between the FCT Administration and the Federal Executive Council, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan but a lived reality for residents of the capital.
